The new premium rates will reach P2,400 annual premium for individually paying members (IPMs, Self-Employed or Voluntary) with a monthly income of P25,000 and below. Also mentioned in PhilHealth Circular no 27 Series of 2013, the new premium rates for the employed sector will now be at 2.5% of their monthly salary. In addition, salary bracket shall start at P8,000 up to P35,000. That means that employees who were paying previously P175 per month will now have to pay P200 for the same salary bracket. Also, self-paying individuals (self-employed and voluntary members) will now be paying P 200 a month from P150 before the said increase.
The good thing about this new rates for premium are now entitled to in-patient hospital care, which include all case rate packages as well as catastrophic illnesses in Case Type Z Benefit Package.
